This event is hosted by non-governmental organization THINK THE EARTH as a charity event for the earthquake in north-east Japan based on volunteers. eco+waza is supporting the event on international communication.

A string of reports and insights on the earthquake will be shared at Keio University (Hiyoshi, Kanagawa Pref., Japan), and broadcasted worldwide via Ustream.  International viewers are welcome to comment, participate in discussion and donate through the internet (Ustream / twitter).

*Language of all dialogs and sessions will basically be in Japanese, but the sessions with (BIL) will be broadcasted in English. We are now gathering voluntary interpreters to make the event fully bilingual. Please wait for update on which sessions are to take place in English. Also, although we will do our best to fully translate, please be aware that interpreters are volantary and there might be some misinterpretations. We will put up a cover article to provide correct information afterwards. 

  

DONATION 

Internet participants can donate from a small amount using Paypal during and after the ustream broadcast. Your donation will gathered to the Think the Earth Fund and distributed to several medium-sized NGOs/NPOs that are actually working on site. 

Think The Earth Fund:
This is a temporary fund launched to gather donations for the earthquake which hit Japan on March 11, 2011. Donation can be made through March 16 to April 30. All donation will be fully distributed to the active organizations listed below (no fee is taken by the foundation itself). The foundation is aiming to backup multiple professional and trustworthy organizations instead of one giant organization. Each organization is updating their websites on activities, so you will be able to see what became of your donation.  > Think the Earth Fund Website
